Roberts William  T. Roberts,  76,  of  Biloxi,  died  Saturday, May  6,  in Biloxi. Graveside   services   were   Monday, May   15,   in   the   Biloxi National  Cemetery.  Bradford  O’Keefe  Funeral  Home  in  Biloxi was in charge of arrangements.. A retiree of the U.S. Air Force, he was a longtime resident of the coast and a Baptist by faith. Survivors include his wife, Doris Roberts, Biloxi; four daugh- ters, Vivian Walker, Humble, TX, Cheryl Eilen, Indialandtic, FL, Sandra Hennes and Kelly Richardson, both of Houston, TX; one sister, Joan Gauthier, Carrier; and six grandchildren. Winnie Geneva Chamblee Mrs.  Winnie  Geneva  Chamblee,  69,  of  Walnut  Grove,  died Saturday, May 6, at St. Dominic Jackson Memorial Hospital in Jackson. Services were at 2 p.m. Monday, May 8, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home  Chapel  in  Forest  with  burial  in  the  Lindsey  Cemetery. Rev. Grady Sims and Rev. Mark Mayo officiated. A  livelong  resident  of  Leake  County,  she  was  a  member  of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Ricky Chamblee, Walnut Grove; one   sister, Sherry   Langley,   Lena;   one   brother, Lavon Donald, Sunrise; and one grandson. Pallbearers   were   Adam   Lewis,   Todd   Alderman,   Vincent Waller, Daniel Jones,  Paul  Busby  and  J.W.  Harrell.  Honorary pallbearers were David Dumas, James Stewart and Jon Brooks. Nathan Edward Mizell Nathan Edward Mizell, 94, of Carthage, died Tuesday, May 9, at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital. Services  were  at  11  a.m.  Thursday, May  11,  at  Pearl  Hill Baptist  Church  with  Elder  Hilton  Moore  and  Bro. David  Cook officiating.   Burial   was   in   the   church   cemetery   with   Wilcox Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. A  native  of  Leake  County,  he  was  a  member  of Mt.  Olive Primitive Baptist Church and a retired farmer. Survivors  include  two  sons,  Nathan  Mizell,  Jr.  and  Tilman Mizell, both of Carthage; three daughters, Marie Coward, Pearl, Betty Mizell Sumrall, Madison, and Eddie Deloris Mizell King, Walnut Grove; 21 grandchildren; and a host of great- and great- great-grandchildren. Terry, 74, of Thomastown, died Friday, May 12, at his residence. Graveside services were at 4 p.m. Monday, May 15, at Wake Forest  Cemetery  in  Thomastown  with  Rev. Larry  Saxton,  Jr. officiating. Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko was in charge of arrangements. He  was a salesman for a heating and air-conditioning supply house, a member and deacon of Camden Baptist Church, a mem- ber of the Jaycees and Masons of Jackson. He also served on the advisory board of Mississippi Delta Junior College’s Vocational Heating and Air-Conditioning department. Survivors include his wife, Sally A. Terry, Thomastown; one daughter,  Kay  Lynn  Terry, Greenville;  two  sons,  William  Paul Terry, Byram, and Thomas Michael Terry, Nashville, Tenn.; two grandchildren;  and  one  sister,  Juanita  Brandon,  Thomastown; and one brother, H.W. Terry, McAllen, Tex. Active   pallbearers   were   members   of   the   Thomastown Volunteer Fire Department. Marshall  brought  a  wonderful message   on   motherhood   and faith. All the mothers were pre- sented a gift by Bro. Marshall. I went to lunch with Debbie and    Bro. Marshall.    Debbie’s mother, Mary  Nell,  also  joined us for lunch. My folks were all “out of pocket” Sunday. Larry is in   Louisiana,   going   back   out with his crew, offshore. Happy     birthday     to Jean Logan, Stephane McManus, Owana Daugherty, Cody Jenkins and Robin Cain. The Senior Citizens enjoyed last   week.   Norma   and   Pete Burkes,  Debbie  Lum,  Martha Smith and Karan Tolleson and I went to Bellengrath Gardens at   Mobile   last   Monday   and Tuesday. We really had a good trip.   Martha   Smith,   Karan’s sister,  was  invited  to  go  as  a birthday  celebration  from  her sister, Karan. Wednesday  the  WMU  went to the Leake Nursing Home for a    birthday    party    for    nine patients with birthdays in May. Bro. Marshall brought the devotional   and   Debbie   Lum, Karan Tolleson, Norma Burkes and I   helped   make   it   a   very nice party. Royce   and   Betty   Jenkins went   to   Memphis   for   a   visit with   their   daughter   Amanda this weekend. The    Senior    Citizens    all enjoyed   a   trip   to   Lake   Tiak- O’Khata    at    Louisville    last Thursday.  Etoil  Webb,  Jimmy and  Virginia  Tullos,  Pete  and Norma  Burkes, Grace  Burkes, Charlott Cook, Faxton Edwards, Maggie Withers, Bro. Marshall   and   Debbie   and   I went   up   for   lunch.   Debbie, Maggie and Norma are our sen- ior   planners,   and   they   have been doing a great job. Prayers  were  answered  for Barbra Ann Dorsey, Miss Grace Burkes’ daughter She had sur- gery  last  week  and  was  home Saturday, doing very well. Helen   Edwards   has   been “under the weather” with a cold and  sore  throat.  Jeff  Tolleson has also been down with a very bad cold and fever. Our love and sympathy goes out  to  the Jennie  Wade  family, Hazel  Shields  family,  and  the family    of    C.L.    and    Bonnie Ingram. Mary   Dorsey’s   son,   Adam Tarter, is home after serving in Iraq.   Mary   and   Donald   are planning   a   trip   soon   too   see him and the family. Lita and Gregg Moore had a big  group  of  family  home  for Mother’s  Day.  Paul  and  Pam Miles  from  Pearl,  Rita  Harris and family from Pearl, Michael and   Cristen   Moore,   Jackson, Jason, Emalia and Jaylee, and a host of kin, plus Miss Dorris, all  enjoyed  a  big  Mexican  din- ner   at   Litas.   Rita   attended church   with   Lita   and   Miss Dorris. Rocky  is  participating  in  a project that consists of 21 care bags  for  women.  These  items need   to   be   at   the   church   by May 28. The Best Yet Homemakers Club is taking up old eye glasses at the church. The food pantry at the asso- ciational  building  needs  flour, meal, sugar, tomatoes, cracker, oil, spaghetti and sauce, canned meat and canned fruit. Also  the  prison  ministry  is  in need   of   shampoo,   toothpaste, toothbrushes,   bath   soap   and solid  deodorant,  a  box  at  the church will be placed for these items. Birthdays   last   week   were Doylis Cook, Jessica Constable and Jimmy Tullos. New Born went to the nurs- ing home, extended care for our first of the month day and went on  down  to  the  park  and  cele- brated Lita Moore and Martha SMith’s   birthdays.   New   Born will go to Zama on the 27th for a   benefit   for   the   fire   depart- ment.
